Munkácsy, the genius painter is the title of a major Munkácsy exhibition at the Móra Ferenc Museum. Nearly 80 original works by Munkácsy are on display, including the famous artfacts and a colour and charcoal sketch of the monumental painting called: The Conquest of Hungary.

The aim of the exhibition is to present the work of Mihály Munkácsy through his wonderful paintings. Visitors will be able to discover the paintings of the artist's different periods: portraits, landscapes and salon paintings. The exhibition is complemented by photographs of Munkácsy, as well as photographs he took of his various works. There will also be an interactive children's activity space.

The exhibition is open until 2 February 2025.
