Observation deck on the top of the Móra Ferenc Museum
You can look down on downtown Szeged from the two observation deck on top of the Móra Ferenc Museum. The area around Széchenyi Square can be seen from the smaller observation deck, and the Tisza and the Downtown Bridge can be observed from the larger observation deck. A special device, a chronoscope awaits those interested in the larger observation deck. Looking into this, the downtown of Szeged in the 1870s is revealed to our visitors.
In the forecourt of the lookouts, in the attic of the building, a chamber exhibition presents the former downtown of Szeged: visitors can travel back to the 1870s with the help of a 3D animation. In the animation, the buildings and skyline of the city center that were once there are presented; by touching the individual buildings, their history is also revealed. In addition, those interested can learn about the history of the Ferenc Móra Museum.
Access to the roof lookout points: via the museum's spiral staircase, we reach the attic space, from where another set of stairs leads to the chamber exhibition space. From here, we can get to the roof via a ramp.
Due to the steepness of the ramps, we ask that our elderly and small-child visitors use them carefully! The observation decks cannot be visited in stormy weather.
