My dear friend, Picasso,

The long-awaited moment of my exhibition has come… But before the opening, I would like to thank you for everything you have done for me: you are the one who awakened the demon of drawing in me, and you are the one who brought my works to the attention of Pierre Colle to exhibit.

When I was little, I considered you an unattainable mountain peak. One of the greatest joys of my life is to have been able to start a friendship with you and earn your respect.

Picasso, I shake your hand with gratitude.
